Three Things Thursday

1.  It made it to the fridge... fridge cover art space is sacred... just sayin'...

2.  It snowed last night in Capital Forest.  It's snowing right now in Capital Forest... just sayin'...

3.  I'm still on Paleo... the revised Paleo for Athletes version...  Dean eats 6,000 to 10,000 calories a day... just sayin'

  1. Three things:

    1) I am not worthy

  2. I like the 6,000 to 10,000 calories a day part :D

What's your story on Paleo for Athletes?
To this point, are you satisfied with your food choices? Do you feel you are getting lighter/stronger? Do you feel it is helping your runs? I'm so interested! So very few people commit and continue on the Paleo path, but it seems those that are able to, find great benefits. What do you say?

  3. Holy cow that's a lot of calories! Would love to burn so many that I could do that, too!

  4. Your fridge looks similar to ours...no space left for any new art and other stuff. I eat all the time but have no clue how many calories per day.

  5. that's a lot of calories. I cold easily do that, but I would have a hard time working that off!

  6. I freaking love it!

I have yet to find it's place in my casa.

But I'm loving your place. :)

  7. Finally found a way to justify my tragic eating ways while rehabbing. I'm "trying to be like Dean". That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I did a weightlifting plan back in my College days that called for 5,000 - 7,000 calories a day. Unless you're eating incredibly calorie-dense foods, it's REALLY hard to eat that many calories in a day. I usually fell short most days. Probably a good thing.

  8. i told you not to worry about the snow. i'm taking care of it. we had a snow day today, and my kids are out shoveling the capital forest trails on your behalf.

  9. I am deprived as my fridge front is wood ergo nothing adheres.
So my stickers will entice me to chase them as I toil on the mill.

  10. I agree with Evolving Through Running above. While it would be cool to be able to work out enough to burn 6-10k calories a day, the issue becomes pure volume - WHEN can you eat that much?

I used to eat 6-7k a day back in high school for swimming and it was literally a game of simply attempting to keep up with my appetite, which I often lost. I'm up to about 4k/day now and my wallet really dislikes it.

Granted, it probably helps when your JOB is to exercise and it's not just a hobby.

  13. Revised Paleo for Athletes version...that sounds intriguing. So many people have tried to "sell" me the Paleo path but I've never heard of the Athlete version? Are their carbs included in that? Hope it's working for you. Heaven knows I need to try something different around here.
