Attn: Management

Could someone in Olympia, WA please take care of this.  I'll be there in a week and a half to run your trails in Capital Forest and would sincerely appreciate having muddy trails...not snowy, icy trails.  I will check in early next week to see the progress you've made with this current dilemma.

Thank you,

Racing Dawn

  1. bring your yaktrax! I hear we're getting snow here in Portland, too. The weather has taken a turn for COLD!

  2. I think you should do a Native American Indian Sun Dance around the fire with you entire family. Bang drums and yelp out loud to the Sun Gods. Take a video and post it :-)

  3. Hope Mother Nature gets her act together in time for your run. If not, I'm sure you'll still kick @ss and take names. When life hands you lemons, punch life in the throat and keep on running.

  5. Haha. Best of luck. I'll add it to my wishes. I'm still working on getting the three feet of snow melted here in CT. I'm looking forward to getting back onto the trails!

  6. Wait/? What? You're coming to WA? I thought that race wasn't until MAY?! Ok, I have to double-check. If I can, I'll come down & cheer for you :) I'm only an hour away in Seattle & have a friend I've been wanting to visit down there...
Will you be in Seattle at all?

  7. oh - I think you must be doing the Mountain Marathon :) I'll have to keep that one in mind. I do have the Whidby Is HALF marathon tentatively on my schedule because I have a 15-mile scheduled for that weekend & may do the race w/ 2mile warm-up. It's supposed to be quite hilly but VERY scenic. Maybe see you there if I can rally & get up there.
