Thank Goodness for TTT

1.  Summer is still in full swing...luckily no haboobs here.  But we're definitely having way too many late nights of fun and early mornings of running.  I think I'm going to have to catch up on some sleep this weekend.  That's how it works though, right?  I can bank sleep on the weekend...just like you can bank minutes early in a marathon... ;)

2. I'm part of a produce co-op here and every other Thursday this is what I get to look forward to...

btw...love my Surf City bag...I use it for everything...

Only $16 and I get all this healthy deliciousness...that way it's one less day I have to go to the store to be tempted with this deliciousness... :)

3.  Minor adjustment to the training program...  I have to bump my race up if I want to register for the next Boston Marathon.  That crazy BAA messed with the dates.  So instead of running Top of Utah (which usually fit right in as a last chance to qualify) on Sept. 17th, I'm running Pocatello Marathon on Sept 3rd!!!  Two less weeks of training...yeah I'm a little nervous.  More on that later though.

It was either Idaho or Kauai.  Tough choice...(oh and btw - download the new music mix for your upcoming workout ;)

  1. you'll be fine without those two weeks, i'm sure! it won't help with the nerves, but you have plenty of time to get your mind and body on track to be ready for sept. 3rd.

  5. Don't think you'll end up missing those two weeks. Besides, in my 8-year training plans 2 weeks don't even register. I won't ask about injuries so I don't jinx you, and I'll assume that your body is cooperating with the quest for Boston. Good luck with training - looks like a nice race. Hope you've got some downhills to use in your training. That's quite a drop.

  7. I noticed your Surf City bag before anything else in the picture. I love mine, too! With so much marathon experience under your belt, those 2 weeks shouldn't physically make a difference, but I know mentally a shorten schedule can play games with you, but you'll be just fine!

  8. I was compliment you on the awesome fruits and veggies and then I scrolled down and saw the donuts. I just sat there and stared at them for like 5 minutes. Why did you do that to me this morning?

  9. Dawn! I just checked out the course for the Pocatelo marathon - are you kidding me? You are going to kill that thing. That looks like a super fast course. You got this!

Maybe you like your Surf City bag b/c you unconsciously think about the great Blogger meet up you had.

  10. Yeah! Going for a BQ in Sept!!! exciting! I know you will dominate regardless of the 2 weeks...you can bank mileage from all your races in the past 12 months right? :)

You will be stellar! And, I love the CO OP for produce--that is a legit bag o goodness!!!!

  11. I can't wait for September. And ohhh Kauai. LOVE. IT. Although Idaho isn't a bad second choice. Right?

And I'll believe in sleep banking if you will =)

  12. I just signed up for Pocatello too for the same reasons!!! I was already signed up for TOU so I will be running both... Hopefully I will BQ by a bunch in Pocatello and then will just run TOU for fun. It will be fun to meet you! Are you staying in P the night before? My best friend and I are staying at the Red Lion on Friday night. :) Yay!
