1. Track workout today. Yasso 800's x 7. Horrible. Horrible. Goal is 3:40's. Started with 3:44, went downhill and last one was a 4:02. I'm sick to my stomach.
2. Qualifying marathon is in 6 weeks, 2 days. So really I have 4 weeks of hard training left. I'm completely unsure if this is even possible for me. I'm not being negative. Realistic. Optimistic, but realistic. Too many numbers, stats floating through my head at all times of the day. This is not a good look for me.
3. And because I can't be a downer on all three things... How bout So You Think You Can Dance last night?!?!?!? How awesome was that? It's my summer highlight each week...for TV anyways. : )
So who's your favorite SYTYCD dancer?
Pearls of wisdom for me on how to become super fast in 4 weeks?
And am I the only one who hates the back pages of blogger? I'm still not used to it. Ugh.
You can DO this! :)
ReplyDeletewhat are the "back pages of blogger"? I'm clueless
Don't make me break out my mantra. ;)
ReplyDeleteYFGT!!
Potato bag what know what hit it.
I'm with Tricia--back pages of blogger?
ReplyDeleteYOU so have this Dawn. Your 4 weeks will surmount to a BQ!
ReplyDeleteYou will do awesome you are putting in the training and you are armed with numbers what more do you need :-) I'm also lost on the back pages?
ReplyDeleteI completely believe in you. Don't let doubt take over because of one rough workout. Keep doing your miles and your speedwork and keep believing. A LOT can change in four weeks. Lots!!! And, we are going to have the most fun ever before, during and after this race.
ReplyDeleteHugs!!!
Don't give up on your quest!! Don't let one rough workout bring you down.
ReplyDeleteI too am a SYTYCD junkie. My faves are Jesse (he's such a nerd, but he's so cute & so talented), Melanie (she's incredibly talented) and Tadd (CUTE!!) I have to love them all a lot, though, to sit through Mary Murphy's screechy, nasal voice. Bless her heart.

ReplyDeleteI had to delete my comment, I seriously used a your instead of you're... one of my biggest grammatical pet peeves... anyway...
ReplyDeleteJust keep doing what YOU'RE doing... all YOUR hard work will pay off. Seriously, you can do it!
last night my favorite were Twitch and dont remember her name...
ReplyDeleteYou need to take some deep breaths and relax - and coming from me that's saying something. You're going to get this done. Don't let one bad outing at the track get you down. After pulling off 12 in 12 you're going to rock this one.
ReplyDeleteI don't know any of the names from SYTYCD, but I watch it sometimes with my wife and daughter, and I am amazed at what those folks can do. They're more athletes than some of the clowns we throw millions of dollars at while they marinate in steroids and collect DUIs like a hobby. I don't know much about dancing, but I know exceptional skill when I see it.
What are the back pages of Blogger?
ReplyDelete??Back pages??
ReplyDeleteSpeed work, speed work, speed work, speed work....
I didn't think I would BQ (I never told anyone that), but I did. And, luckily for you, woman have it so much easier. You definitely got this Dawn.
ReplyDeleteI will clarify... I'm just talking about the dashboard, where u write your posts, etc. It changed about 3 weeks ago. It just takes me awhile to navigate. Not a fan of change. :)
ReplyDeleteYou. Can. Do. It.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what the back pages of blogger are either...
you'll be amazed what a difference cooler weather makes.
ReplyDeletei'm in love with jordan, melanie, and tadd. they're fabulous!
Getting faster? You're surely faster than me, but for what it's worth... Lots of speedwork and tempos and a lot of luck on race day. :) Keep with the track work (after a few weeks those yassos should be easier) and make sure your tempo paces have you seeing stars :). You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteblogger is driving me nuts. and I don't doubt that you'll snag that speed!
