Guerrilla Running

Well here we go...  If having a case of vertigo wasn't enough, let me give you a litte reminder of what the race director says about this race...

In case we haven't been clear (we think we've been clear, but just in case): this race is HARD! This is not a sales gimmick. You are almost certain to get your slowest time in either event (there will be no PR's here). Also, there will likely be "throw-your-bottle-on-the-ground-stomp-your-feet-and-curse-your-race-director" moments out there. Seriously.

So, yeah.  Hardest race of my 12...probably.  Snow at the top of the trail...probably.  Super gorgeous green...definitely.  Throwing up off the side of the mountain...probably.  Me falling off the side of the mountain...hopefully not.  No matter what, it's gonna be great!  We have before us a test.  A test to see what this ol' body can handle.  Mountain Marathon...here I come...

How can you not love a mountain called Rock Candy... : )

And if you gotta do the duty . . . why not do it with a "candy" rock?

  3. Maybe with enough candy you'll get over the vertigo. Or maybe you won't notice because you'll be cursing the RD!

  5. As if you're not hardcore enough already - running that beast with vertigo will take you to a whole new level of badassery. I hope the vertigo stays in check. Your body is just throwing you some new curveballs to keep you on your toes. The race sounds great ..... for someone other than me to be running :)

  9. i hear that if you lay on your back on a bed and then roll off to the right and then roll back off to the left a few times it helps with vertigo. that sounds so weird i know but who knows it may work.

    good luck!

  10. You got EFX, you'll be fine. Good luck Dawn. Um, don't forget to have fun. I would love to enter a race with no chance of a PR, something liberating about that.

    Oh, and you've been clear.

  11. Maybe it's just me, but new and unforeseen challenges make races all that much more exciting and fun.
