A few more washes and your hair will get lighter and lighter...red does not stick! :)
I have very little experience, but I eat about the same thing as you when I run a half marathon (a bag of powerbar chews, which equals about 2 GUs)...this was what was suggested by my trainers during my clinic for the half. Although, a Dr. Pepper and a donut probably will do the job ;)

Doughnuts are already way up there! They can't go up too much!
